3) Transactional data:

Advantages of Data Transfer Workbench (DTW) in migrating to SAP Business One

Let's analyze why Data DTW is so popular among SAP Business One users. Firstly, DTW offers seamless integration with Microsoft Excel, through which it is possible to extract data from your system into Excel spreadsheet templates and import it into SAP Business One.

The default templates are present within the folder where Data Transfer Workbench is installed, and it is also possible to create a custom template in order to import data and share it with others. DTW provides the user with a wizard-like interface that guides them through the data migration process and integrates all relevant steps, such as data extraction, mapping, and import.

It is in this extraction process that the data from the steps is converted to the format required by SAP Business One and mapped to the corresponding data structures and fields.

DTW also has a detailed record management section. During the import process, Record Management collects information, messages, and error messages from the loading processes that users can use for subsequent analysis. In addition to Microsoft Excel, DTW also has an ODBC interface. Using this interface, you can import data directly from an ODBC data source such as MSSQL or a Microsoft Access database without having to export the data and objects to Excel.
