It is generated during the installation of the SAP system and is based on the hardware characteristics of the server; such as MAC address or serial number.<\/p>\n<p>This code is essential to request the license keys, since SAP uses it to validate that the software is running in the environment for which it was authorized.<\/p>\n<p>To identify it, you have the following options (SQL platform):<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>In Windows, from the Start button &gt; SAP Business One &gt; right-click on Service Manager &gt; Run as Administrator.<\/li>\n<li>An icon will appear in the Windows Tools bar:\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.xamai.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/hs_120_Service_Manager.webp\" width=\"494\" height=\"184\" loading=\"lazy\" alt=\"Service Manager\" style=\"height: auto; max-width: 100%; width: 494px;\"><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>Right-click on the icon and select Open SAP Business One Service Manager:\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.xamai.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/hs_110_Open_SAP.webp\" width=\"507\" height=\"290\" loading=\"lazy\" alt=\"Open SAP\" style=\"height: auto; max-width: 100%; width: 507px;\"><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>In the pop-up window, select the license service: License Manager, click on the Settings button:\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.xamai.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/hs_112_SAP_B1_Service.webp\" width=\"434\" height=\"352\" loading=\"lazy\" alt=\"SAP B1 Service\" style=\"height: auto; max-width: 100%; width: 434px;\"><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>Next, in the General Settings window, the Hardware Key will appear:\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.xamai.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/hs_55_General_Settings.webp\" width=\"311\" height=\"440\" loading=\"lazy\" alt=\"General Settings\" style=\"height: auto; max-width: 100%; width: 311px;\"><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>If the environment is a HANA platform, you can consult it from the System Landscape Directory (SLD), entering the path: <a href=\"https:\/\/hanab1:40000\/ControlCenter\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\" style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">https:\/\/hanab1:40000\/ControlCenter\/<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Where, hanab1 (is the name of the instance) and the password of the B1SiteUser user is required to enter:<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.xamai.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/hs_122_System_Landscape_2.webp\" width=\"684\" height=\"395\" loading=\"lazy\" alt=\"System Landscape 2\" style=\"height: auto; max-width: 100%; width: 684px;\"><\/p>\n<p>Upon entering, go to the Services tab and select the License Manager, click on the service link:<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.xamai.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/hs_123_System_Landscape.webp\" width=\"2454\" height=\"537\" loading=\"lazy\" alt=\"System Landscape\" style=\"height: auto; max-width: 100%; width: 2454px;\"><\/p>\n<p>A second tab will open in the internet browser, where the data will be displayed:<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.xamai.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/hs_117_SAP_License_Control_Center.webp\" width=\"643\" height=\"385\" loading=\"lazy\" alt=\"SAP License Control Center\" style=\"height: auto; max-width: 100%; width: 643px;\"><\/p>\n<p>Finally, another way to identify it is by directly entering the SAP Business One client, go to the Help\/About menu and in the system window, the HW key will appear:<\/p>\n<h3><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.xamai.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/hs_8_Acerca_de_SAP.webp\" width=\"565\" height=\"438\" loading=\"lazy\" alt=\"Acerca de SAP\" style=\"height: auto; max-width: 100%; width: 565px;\"><\/h3>\n<h3>What to do if the Hardware Key changes?<\/h3>\n<p>When the Hardware Key changes, it is necessary to generate a new license request through the SAP support portal.
